What is HGH 191AA?

HGH 191AA is somatropin: human growth hormone made by recombinant DNA technology, with the exact 191-amino-acid sequence the pituitary gland makes. “191AA” simply states that length. It separates authentic somatropin from somatrem, an older 192-amino-acid version with an extra methionine at the start, and from short fragments such as HGH Fragment 176-191.

It is a protein of about 22 kDa held in shape by two disulfide bridges.

How does growth hormone work?

• GH receptor: it binds growth hormone receptors in the liver, muscle, fat and bone, switching on JAK2-STAT5 signalling.
• IGF-1: the liver answers by making IGF-1, which carries much of growth hormone’s effect on growth and protein building.
• Fat: it releases stored fat for energy.
