It is a sterile solution of 0.6% acetic acid in water, with a pH of about 3.4. Some peptides dissolve better, and stay more stable, in a slightly acidic liquid than in plain or bacteriostatic water.
It is an add-on. It ships only with a peptide order; an order for acetic acid alone is cancelled and refunded.
Labs reach for it with peptides that prefer low pH, such as the GLP-1 analogues (retatrutide, tirzepatide, semaglutide) and IGF-1 LR3. For most other peptides, bacteriostatic water is the standard.
